Without a single Starbucks to be found on Anna Maria Island, the local coffee houses counterbalance by making a superb local brew, each with it’s own unique menu and twists to keep you on your caffeinated toes! Here for a week? Check out our list below to explore Anna Maria Island’s coffee scene, visit somewhere new each day and find which latte’ you love best!

Day 1

Visit Back Alley Treasures – An amazing local cafe’ that serves a very affordable cup o’ joe in an authentic island coffee / gift shop. Grab an ice blended chai or their cafe americano and browse the store for something to bring back home. The beachy items are a favorite, with authentically adorable finds like handmade sea glass bracelets, glossed sand dollar wind chimes and hand made votive candles.

Day 2

Just down the street is the Island Creperie, an adorable little french breakfast and lunch spot. Stop in and try a pairing of their gourmet crêpes while you visit the coffee bar for a unbeatable pairing.

Day 3

On day 3 treat enjoy coffee with a view at the Beachhouse Resturaunt or if you prefer the inside sit at their newly remodeled bar!

Day 4

For day 4 we’re gong to suggest you venture to the North end of Anna Maria Island and head to The Donut Experiment on Pine Ave. A new trendy hit on the island, they make made to order donuts that look amazing and photograph beautifully, ofcourse they make a mean cup of coffee to go with!

Day 5

Start your morning early, the new Anna Maria Island Oyster Bar on the Pier is open at 8 and already very popular! With a full breakfast menu and a beautiful pier location this is ideal island eating. Order one of the delicious plates and get an iced cappuccino to go while you walk the pier and stroll Bridge St.

Day 6

Spice things up on day 6 at Wicked Cantina in Bradenton Beach.  Even though they have an amazing bloody mary, we recommend of course the coffee with challah french toast for a decadant and affordable pairing!

Day 7

On your last day of your coffee tour we take things back to the beach. Head to the Gulf Dr. TIki Cafe’ in Bradenton Beach and put your toes in the sand. Celebrate with their adult coffee menu or grab a special blend coffee, we recommend trying the greek roast. If your feeling hungry this is another place with a fantastic and huge breakfast menu!
